Welcome to Metta. We are a therapeutic center offering massage, reflexology, shiatsu, and float therapy.
Our custom float rooms have been designed for your comfort and to provide an exceptional experience. Each private floatation room contains an extra large, open float tank with 1000 pounds of epsom salt dissolved in ten inches of water, heated to 93.5 degrees. This temperature is skin-receptor neutral, meaning you lose track of where your body ends and the water begins.
Free from gravity and external stimulation, you are able to relax in a meditative state while the outside world melts away. Floating in serene silence, you can enjoy total darkness (sensory deprivation) or customize the lighting to fit your mood. Float therapy offers a multitude of benefits for both mind and body. Floating is likely to be the most relaxing thing you've ever experienced. If you are curious about us, please stop by and we'll be glad to give you a tour and answer any of your questions.
Granting yourself periods of rest and quiet reflection can ease stress, restore energy, and improve productivity. Your motivation and drive often cause you to take on a heavier workload than you can reasonably handle, which can result in burnout and fatigue. If you are unable to reduce your work, the least you can do is make an effort to regularly rest your mind and body. Engaging in periods of stillness to empty your mind of stressful thoughts can help you get in touch with your spiritual center, which helps you feel more balanced and peaceful. You can then release tension and regain a focused mind-set. You can handle your workload more efficiently if you take time to calm your mind and restore your energy.
Spending a few moments in silence and emptying your mind of all thoughts can be incredibly rejuvenating and will allow you to feel more centered and regain your focus. Since the quality of your thoughts can also affect your mood, you may wish to repeat this practice...often.
Here at Metta, we have gone to great lengths to make a peaceful environment for grown-ups with as few external stimuli as possible so that they can truly relax and leave life's stressors behind once they walk through our door. With that in mind, we ask that you please refrain from wearing fragrances, keep your cell phone in your car, and leave your children safely with a caregiver.
We are happily looking forward to spending some relaxing time with you.
