What is an event like?
You will meet up to 8 single people in less than 2 hours. Think of it as a series of "facilitated introductions" just like when you go to a party with a good host. Afterwards, if there's interest (each person discreetly chooses on a score sheet who they would like to hear from again), you'll get an email with the contact information of similarly interested event participants. We try to take the pressure, embarrassment, and rejection out of meeting people.
What are attendees like?
They are just like you! Some do not have tons of time to meet people. Some do not know where to meet other single people. Some aren’t comfortable with (or tired of) other dating options. All are interesting in meeting people in a safe, comfortable and efficient manner.
Will I meet people of all ages?
The events will be loosely based on age, as it is in the eye of the beholder, right? If, however, you are not getting any interest from events of people much younger or older than you, maybe choose an event closer to your age and see what happens.
How many people can I expect to meet at an event?
The event is designed for you to meet 6 to 8 people in under 2 hours.
How long does an event last?
1-2 hours
How much time do I get to talk to someone?
Each couple gets 8 minutes total, which includes 3 checkbox questions (your personal 1 word response questions) and 1 card question (supplied). This amount of time will give you a good idea if you would like to know more. If you do, choose Y (yes) on your score sheet. If the time seemed way too long, or you are just not interested in learning more about the person opposite you, you can circle N (no) next to that person’s name. If unsure, choose Y (yes) because if you give them another chance, they may just surprise you!
How should I dress for the event?
Comfortable, clan and respectable is always best. You will be removing your shoes (Metta Relaxation Co. rule), so make sure to take that into consideration.
How long will it take to be notified of mutually interested people?
An email will be sent out within 48 hours. If there were other mutually interested individuals, their contact information will be included in the email. If you don’t get an email, please contact us. Everyone should get a follow-up email, even if there were no mutual selections. If you didn’t jive with anyone at that event, don’t worry. Everyone has a selection process, even you. Come to another event and meet more people!
What if I contact a mutually interested person and they don’t respond?
Try again! Sometimes people go on vacation or don’t check their email daily. Please be courteous to other event participants and reply, even if only to say you are no longer interested.
Can I sign up with a friend?
Absolutely! It’s encouraged! Just make sure you each register individually.
How many events can I attend?
As many as you want! It may take a few to find that special person.
I tried to sign up but the event says it’s full?
There are only a certain number of attendees allowed for each event. If the one you are interested in is full, you have the option of being put on a waiting list.
What about refunds/cancellation/missed events?

CANCELLATION POLICY
7 or more days before event day: FULL REFUND (less a $5 processing fee)
Less than 7 days before event day: EVENT RAIN CHECK CREDIT*
Less than 24 hours before the event: Sorry, no refunds or credits, as it will be extremely difficult to replace you. You can always invite a single friend to take your place!

People who are NO-SHOWS and do not contact us will NOT be accepted into future events. It's worse than standing someone up, because it's like standing up many people at once!
If something comes up on the way to the event that precludes you from attending, you should still contact us to ensure that we do not add you to the "No Show, No Contact - Banned Attendee List".
Yes, we take our events seriously and we respect the time of everyone who attends them. Participants appreciate the fact that by banning people who fail to follow common courtesy helps increase the quality of people who attend. These policies are in hopes of ensuring the best experience possible. Thanks for your understanding.
* Event rain check credits must be used within three months of date issued.
How it works:
- You register for an event on our website. Registration is required to ensure equal numbers of men and women. Make sure you are clicking on the correct event (MEN and WOMEN register separately).
- Upon registration, you will receive an email with event information. If you don’t get this email, please contact us.
- You show up a few minutes EARLY for the event, to get your name tag, scorecard, etc.
- You meet 6 to 8 people in less than 2 hours, via a series of 8-minute conversations. We facilitate the whole thing so you can meet everyone in a safe and fun way.
- On your scorecard, you decide whom you’d like to know better. At the end of the event, you turn in part of your scorecard to the event host to be compared to the other attendees.
- You will receive an email within 48 hours of the event. That email may contain the contact information of someone who also wanted to know you better.
- After that, it’s up to you! Since you’ve already met in person, your chances of making a more lasting connection are vastly increased.
