If you wear contacts, bring solution and a case to remove them before your float
After you arrive: We always recommend having an open mind and being open to the relaxation you are about to experience.
Enter your private float room and remove your clothes, jewelry and contact lenses. Insert ear plugs. Shower to remove oils, fragrances and hair products; all shower and float essentials are provided for you. Please do not use hair conditioner at this time. Music will have started and will fade out when you get into the tank.
Dry your face, neck and front of torso and then carefully step into the tank.
First, sit on the floor of the tank. Turn the light off. The light switch is located inside the tank with you. Lie back, resting your head into the water, legs extended and arms over your head do some slow and controlled full-body stretches. Your ears will be under the water line, but your face will remain above it.
Put your hands out to stabilize yourself until the water movement stops. Bring arms back in and let your body settle into a naturally relaxed position.
Once comfortable, lie as still as possible and the water will appear to disappear!
You may opt to focus on your breath or do a body scan at this point to get out of your busy head.
If you float into the side of the tank, don’t push off. Apply a tiny amount of pressure to get yourself centered again.
Obviously, try to keep the salt water out of your eyes. If you do get salt water in your eyes, a hand towel and squirt bottle of fresh water is available to blot or irrigate them.
Music will gently fade in when your session is complete. As you sit up, tilt your head back and squeegee the salt solution off of your forehead. Turn the light on. When you’re ready, stand and use your hands to squeegee the salt water from your body and squeeze out the excess from your hair.
Carefully exit the tank and shower again to remove the remaining salty residue. Conditioner is okay at this time.
Once you’re dressed, please exit the room to make way for our next guest. Our primping area has hair dryers, lotion, and other items for your use. Bring your own brush or comb, if needed. Then have some cucumber water with us in our lounge area, if you’d like, and bask in your post-float glow.
