Vacutherapy

Vacutherapy works with the lymphatic system for increased lymphatic function. It helps decrease toxins, strengthen the immune system, reduce water retention, decrease cellulite, and increase overall health. The suctioning from vacutherapy targets fat deposits and helps break them up to improve skin smoothness (reduce cellulite dimpling) and congested areas, allowing lymphatic fluid to flow better.

Your lymphatic system, part of your immune system, has many functions. They include protecting your body from illness-causing invaders, maintaining body fluid levels, absorbing digestive tract fats and removing cellular waste. Blockages, disease or infections can affect your lymphatic system's function. Vacutherapy helps to counteract those things and allow the lymphatic system to function better.

Signs of lymphatic dysfunction
  • Swollen ankles
  • Puffy eyes
  • Congested head
  • Cellulite (lumpy fat deposits)
  • Painful and hard swellings of lymph nodes (especially in neck, armpits, and groin area)
  • Constipation
  • Mucus and phlegm production
  • Bloated stomach or extremities
  • Stiff or painful joints
  • Excessive or insufficient sweating
  • Chronic sinus infections
  • Eczema
  • Brain fog
  • Chronic headaches
  • Sluggishness

If you have one or more of these signs of lymphatic blockage, you can't eliminate toxins. It's that simple. Some natural consequences when one or more parts of your lymphatic system are clogged:
  • Toxic byproducts of normal cell growth and reproduction remain trapped in cells
  • Old and used immune cells fester in your lymph
  • Foreign bodies like bacteria, viruses, parasites, and mold remain engulfed by immune cells with nowhere to go
  • Environmental chemical residues and heavy metals that entered your body (probably from food, water, air, or products) are trapped with nowhere to go

Vacutherapy for the lymphatic system
Vacutherapy is conducted using heat, suction, glass cups, and an unscented, organic oil. It is very relaxing for the client, but can be a little tender in areas where there is excessive congestion. The therapist will adjust the intensity accordingly, until the congestion is released.

Please arrive with freshly showered skin. No makeup, oils, creams, lotions or other products, as they may affect your treatment and damage the equipment. Also, please wear undergarments that will allow easy access to your stomach, back, and buttocks (if you desire work on this area). Keep in mind when choosing undergarments that the oil used during the treatment may transfer to them during the session.

Aftercare
After your first few treatments, it is common to see small bruises, as well as feel tenderness in the areas of the body that have congestion.

To see optimal results from this therapy, we recommend you follow a no fat (or low fat) diet for 24 hours after your session. This ensures the body fat that was circulated from the treatment will be metabolized (used by the body as calories for normal metabolic work). If additional fat enters the body, whatever cannot be used will revert back to storage and be redeposited, making the treatment less effective.

Fats include butter, oils, cheese, olives, mayonnaise, nuts, seeds, avocados, and red meats.

For optimal fat metabolism, clients should also avoid alcohol the day of the treatment, reducing stress on the liver.

Clients should also hydrate well (half their body weight in ounces, spread throughout the day). Lymph is mostly water and dehydrated cells cannot function properly.

Exercise is very important to boost metabolism. Exercise also aides the lymphatic system by squeezing the thoracic duct. This causes a cleansing effect as more lymphatic fluid is moved through the lymphatic system.
