Meditation Series Each session of this eight week series will include a small reading, a meditation, and end with a group discussion. Every week follows a topic that moves into the next week starting with the fundamentals of meditation, moving into how we can apply meditation to our everyday lives. No matter what you're going through, meditation, or simply taking a pause, can bring more quality to your life.
Week 1 Breath: Fundamentals of meditation/breathing exercises Week 2 Watching the thinker: Learning how to observe our thoughts Week 3 Pursuing Flow: Defining and recognizing flow then applying it to our every day lives Week 4 Origin of fear and Anxiety: Learning to recognize how meditation reduces our fears and anxieties Week 5 Surrendering: Practicing letting go of uncomfortable things that we cannot control Week 6 The Pain body: Practicing recognizing when past traumas are triggered by present situations Week 7 Symmetry: How recognizing symmetry helps with being in the present moment Week 8 Gratitude: The opposite of addiction/depression is connection, to ourselves, nature and our community. We will do a gratitude meditation and have a closing discussion on what we have learned over the past eight weeks
